Sirloin Fajita Board
Healthy, delicious and packed full of good nutrients. This one is a bit more ambitious than some of our other recipes but it is worth it. Bon appetite!
Nutritional Breakdown: This is a low-moderate carb dish with plenty of protein and good fats. It is approximately 500 calories and great for fat burners and muscle builders alike.
Ingredients:
- 100g of Beef sirloin (trim off the fat)
- 33g avocado diced
- 20g greek yogurt
- 20g chedder cheese 30% less fat
- 1 gluten free wrap
- 37g Green peppers
- 1 spoon of tomato salsa
- 30g of sliced red onion
- 1 lime (squeezed)
- 1/4 tsp chilli powder (less if you dont like it hot)
- a pinch of cumin
- a pinch of dried oregano
- a pinch of salt
- a pinch of black pepper
- 5ml of low sodium tamari
Directions:
1. Mix the chilli power, cumin, oregano, salt and pepper in a bowl. Let’s call it the spice bowl.
2. Slice the beef. Put the beef into the spice bowl and mix it around. Leave it for a couple of minutes to marinate.
3. Chop up the peppers and onions.
3. Heat a small amount of oil in a wok or frying pan. Add the beef, the chopped onion and pepper. Cook the beef the way you like it. Rare (3 mins), Medium (4 mins), Well Done (8-10 mins).
4. For the last 1-2 minutes of frying squeeze the lime into the pan and add the Tamari.
5. Heat the gluten free wrap for 20 seconds in the microwave.
6. Build your Fajita plate in anyway you see fit (check ours out below!).
