Saxony's Transformation in her own words
Saxony was desperate to lose weight. At 40% body fat, she felt unhealthy and nowhere near her physical potential. She had trained with a number of personal trainers before but they couldn’t help her achieve the transformation she wanted. Here’s how she got down to 20% body fat in just 16 weeks in her own words:
Frustration
I was looking for a trainer that could seriously help me change my body. I’d trained with other personal trainers in Taunton and found i was getting nowhere and felt i was wasting my money. I was recommended Pure Performance by a friend that had trained with them in the past, he told me they push you hard so go into it with your eyes open.
I contacted Mark from pure performance and arranged a consultation. We discussed my stats and hopes for the future. I explained my frustrations to him, what worked and didn’t work for me with other trainers. I was struck by how well he asked questions and listened.
Foods that heal
I couldn’t believe the detail of what was needed to put a plan together for me. We discussed everything from mindset, training frequency for women, menstrual cycles and of course how to implement my training and nutrition plan. I received a login to the Pure App which they use to create my easy to follow nutrition plans. This software is great as I could update it all the time with everything I ate. As a vegetarian, it was really important for me to have a plan that works with my dietary specifications. I was expertly guided and corrected at times by Pure Performance.
Moving forward
The coaching on how to exercise was the biggest eye opener for me. Mark completely took me of any cardio for the first 8 weeks and focused on bodybuilding and strength building systems. At first I was worried, as I didn’t want to look like a bodybuilder but Mark explained why I wouldn’t become the lady version of Hulk and put my mind at ease!
Unsurprisingly, he was right! My body was visibly changing week by week and i was getting stronger. I couldn’t believe I had wasted all these years trying to get lean with hours of treadmill work! As i got stronger and more confident we started to add in strongwoman sessions for fat loss as an addition to my strength training (still haven’t touched a treadmill at this point). These are hard but wow they really, really work!
Twice as lean
My body fat went from 40% to 20% in 16 weeks. The change was rapid and the training was very hard but well worth it. The amazing thing about Pure Performance is that they coach you all the way. The result is that I do not need them anymore as I am empowered to train myself. Pure performance completely changed my attitude towards training. I hated going to the gym and the exercises I was doing were completely wasting my time. Now I love training and have a completely new outlook on health and fitness. Mark and the team at Pure Performance’s knowledge is outstanding and training and nutrition advice is second to none.
My advice to you
Having tried previous trainers in the area I can confidently say pure performance is the best.’ Do your research only choose a personal trainer with a proven background!
